And since DismHost.exe will be dropped in the %temp% folder when running the dism command and since the %temp% folder is locked for any exe file then this will lead to the error described in the blog.<br />If you created the rule to protect the system from malware then you will need to temporarily disable it by changing it to unrestricted. Then run the command again and it should proceed as it should.B-boy/StyLe/https://www.blogger.com/profile/12737365027828080047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5217467190165205681.post-19352865914660608982016-08-08T12:00:59.053-05:002016-08-08T12:00:59.053-05:00One edit: My server version is 2008 R2One edit: My server version is 2008 R2Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06861213883239138819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5217467190165205681.post-83109814771171021442016-08-08T11:58:51.843-05:002016-08-08T11:58:51.843-05:00I'm having this error as well. I am at my wit's end. Google isn't helping. How is it that other network card drivers inject into my boot images fine and this one won't? Everything I am seeing online suggests I am running the wrong version of dism. How can I check? Please help...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06861213883239138819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5217467190165205681.post-21334491734471441062016-06-07T02:50:13.518-05:002016-06-07T02:50:13.518-05:00Thank you, this solved an issue with my Server 201...Thank you, this solved an issue with my Server 2012 installation as well .me1299https://www.blogger.com/profile/01718984284331626512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5217467190165205681.post-71864328215077938212015-12-23T17:30:01.604-06:002015-12-23T17:30:01.604-06:00You're welcome guys.
